You control your soundcard, your software synthesizer, your MIDI expander still with your computer screen and mouse ? Real controllers are much easier to operate than virtual ones. Nearly all sound cards, expanders or software synthesizers allow the external control of their parameters via MIDI controllers. So far the price of control boxes - indispensable for each user - stood in flagrant contradiction to the price of the software or sound card.
